Quick Bio: Amy McCarley is an independent folk-country artist from Huntsville, AL delivering introspective lyrics in a hook-heavy brand of folk-country that has earned her fans like premier roots music blog No Depression, which praised her vivid songwriting and “tunes with country soul…that [put] the current Nashville radio crop to shame.” Jet Engines, the long-awaited follow-up to McCarley’s self-titled, 2011 debut, was produced by Grammy-winning guitarist Kenny Vaughan, best known as one of Marty Stuart’s Fabulous Superlatives.
The infectious, yet personal album incorporates elements of rockabilly, alt-country, folk, and traditional country —all delivered in McCarley’s earthy alto, which has led Twangville.com to describe the Alabama-based artist as a “future star”, someone you “can’t help but believe [you’ll] hear … covered by other artists” who is “bringing even more cred to a part of the country already renowned for its musical heritage.”
Fresh off the 2014 release —and concurrent with a tremendously successful U.S. terrestrial radio campaign— the Alabama based singer-songwriter launched an extensive fall tour with highlights that include lending opening act support for Kim Richey and Jeff Black during the Americana Music Festival in Nashville, a featured artist showcase appearance at the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance Conference in Austin, as well as performances in well-known listening rooms like The Bitter End in New York City.
Please consider Amy for your showcase.
