Piezo v 1.5.12
Recording audio that your Mac is playing back, such as an internet stream, is a little different as it's not audio we can just simply input into the Mac like a microphone. Our Mac has no option to record what is being sent to the speakers, but with some additional software, we can do exactly that.
Install nodemon: npm install -g nodemon
Open the Audio MIDI Setup application which lives in Applications -> Utilities and you will see any connected input and output devices listed on the left-hand side.
Why the change? According to the folks at Rogue Amoeba: “A major reason for the initial creation of Piezo was our desire to allow recording from other applications on the Mac within the limits of what Apple’s Mac App Store rules allowed. We were pleased to provide audio capture to customers of the Mac App Store, and for a time, things worked just fine. However, Apple eventually changed the rules, requiring that all applications distributed through the Mac App Store be sandboxed. This was a problem. Piezo’s need to capture audio from other applications precludes the possibility of it being sandboxed. This new requirement effectively stopped our ability to upgrade Piezo in any meaningful way.
If you want to record the remote side of a voice conversation, or need a voice memo application, Piezo for Mac can get the job done without much hassle. The multitude of output qualities and the popular supported formats will save you from having to do additional conversions in order to share the media.
If you need to erase your disk before installing macOS, select Disk Utility from the Utilities window, then click Continue. You probably don't need to erase, unless you're selling or giving away your Mac or have an issue that requires you to erase. Learn more about when and how to erase.

The .d files are used by the Makefile to improve compilation efficiency; they are not important. The .o files are the compiled versions of the .c files. These .o files are linked together to create , a single binary containing the entire firmware. But the AVR programming utility, avrdude, cannot read the format, so that file has been converted into four files. As the name implies, contains the executable portion of the firmware to be uploaded to flash (program memory). The file contains the initial EEPROM contents to be uploaded to the EEPROM. The EEPROM contains data the clock stores even when power is lost, such as the last known time or the menu-configured clock settings. The file contains the fuse bits. The fuse bits store configuration information for the chip itself, such as the oscillator configuration or the brownout detection settings. Finally, the file contains the lock bits. The lock bits are used to configure which--if any--memory access restrictions should be enforced.

Piezo is a simple, nicely-designed audio recording tool for Mac. You can use it to capture the sounds from your default browser, iTunes, video player or a microphone that's being connected to your computer. The program provides you with the quality audio files you need within seconds.
The company describes Piezo as “charmingly simple,” and it’s tough to argue with that. The program’s compact, retro-design window shows only a few elements: left- and right-channel level meters, a pop-up menu for choosing the audio source, a flip-clock-like recording timer, the name of the current recording, and a large, metal-and-red Record button.
The Blue Microphones Snowball USB mic is a popular microphone for budding musicians and podcasters.
If you are happy to edit recordings elsewhere, then Audio Hijack Pro is possibly all you will need for recording your podcasts as it also has tools for volume control, effects, input/output control (yes, this could replace the need for aggregate devices) and scheduled sessions.
Personally, I used Adobe Audition, but if you are just getting started I recommend Audacity as it’s something anyone can download and use. I won’t go into details on audio editing as that is a big subject that you can find plenty online about, but I will cover some general principles to get you started.
