Home Grown... Tap-toed... banjo zoned... bluegrass schooled... Acoustic fueled music... Where mountain music meets the sea...
On our last CD, Hamburger Sandwich, Bill and I stepped away from our Harbortown repertoire to take a musical trip around America. It has been getting steady radio play since we released it and we're pretty proud of it. There are plenty of samples on our website listed below.
"Hamburger Sandwich" "Top Albums and Songs of August 2014"; acousticmusicscene.com/2014/09/02/top-albums-and-songs-of-august-2014-folkdj-l/nwfolk.com/topfolk/report1408.html- our songs have been covered by singers on both sides of the Atlantic - 3 of our songs are featured in the documentary 'Shellshocked'. We played for "Shellshocked" world premiere at Museum of American History in NYC. - Bob Wright was a Chris Austin (Merlefest) songwriting finalist and has received many grants from the city and state of New York to write and record songs, particularly about local history - Bob has been on staff for the Maryland Banjo Academy events and has written for the Banjo Newsletter... even interviewed Kermit T. Frog! - we have done lots of work with both the Staten Island and Brooklyn Arts Councils - we entertained for the opening of the National Lighthouse Museum in NYC. www.bojomusic.comwww.facebook.com/pages/Bob-Wright-and-Harbortown/170183396400292 (you can see us on this Facebook page in a promotional video done to promote Historic Richmondtown's Tavern Concert Series; most of the music used was written by Bob Wright)
